The scene I have chosen from the movie portrays great examples of film editing strategies. In this scene the camera work was done specifically to help the audience grasp the meaning of the scene. You can see in the first shot the editing strategy called “establishing the shot.” This is used to show the audience the world around the character. It’s easier for the audience to figure out where the scene is and what’s actually happening. You can see the car in one shot, then the highway with the car, and then another shot of him driving.
